Bidirectional layout features are mainly used for RTL (Right-To-Left) languages, and to support W3C Arabic mathematical notation.

WIRIS editor fully implements it. Discrepancies between the examples and the W3C samples are due to:

• WIRIS editor does not fully support all the Unicode symbols; it relies on the font you are using, and some fonts don't have all Arabic characters. See Characters.
• menclose notation="madruwb" is not yet implemented.
